The Brief

The client wanted to create an event for clients and staff to celebrate the launch of their new football goal app. They wanted the event to be interactive, non-stop, casual and fun! The intention was to make the guests feel like they were at a VIP event in a real football stadium.

The Venue

The location of this event was tricky as it was to be placed in the Atrium of the production office where all the guests work. We needed to be very careful and set up outside of their working hours to ensure that the transformation was a surprise for all.

The Party

As the event space was unveiled the guests were amazed, and very excited, to see their Atrium had been turned into a huge football pitch. We created the pitch by placing a large green carpet across the floor of the room, meticulously painting the pitch lines onto the carpet and placing portable goals at either end.

The event involved a penalty shoot-out competition between several teams, with a well renowned commentator picking up on all the action, football tables and a football commentary game creating an opportunity for yet more competition amongst colleagues. We placed a football themed photo studio booth with accompanying props and a life like stadium background so guests would have memories of the event. Not forgetting that all this football would work up an appetite, and in keeping with the football theme, we set up hotdog and beer stations to refresh guests.

We also wanted guests to go home with a memento so we brought in world famous football trickster to teach tricks and run a keepy uppy competition where guests were able to win branded footballs.
