The client had decided on a Winter Wonderland theme to celebrate the Christmas season with the company’s top achievers. The theming needed to completely transform the venue into a snowy Winter Wonderland, with entertainment to match.
The chosen venue was The Landmark Hotel in Marylebone, this stunning five star hotel offers various large, elegant event spaces.
This event welcomed 200 people to the Ballroom for a dinner dance to thank staff for their hard work. The theme of the event was a surprise for guests and the hosts were eager for it to be kept a surprise throughout reception, until the Ballroom was revealed to guests for dinner.
This meant that we kept this part of the evening very simple, with some subtle wireless uplights and white roses and candles on the poseur tables in the Drawing Room. A pianist played some light background music and a caricaturist kept guests entertained.
When dinner was announced, the double doors of the Ballroom were opened to reveal the Winter Wonderland inside.
The room glistened with snow dusted birch trees, a sleigh filled with gifts, a white LED dancefloor and stage complete with glitter DJ booth and a white pinch pleat backdrop. As guests walked into the room they were surprised by a Father Christmas human statue. During dinner guests listened to Christmassy songs played by a pianist on a white baby grand piano positioned in the centre of the dancefloor.
During the evening guests could have photos taken in a white bubble photobooth with a wintery background and they were spoilt by Father Christmas and CEO giving each and every guest a gift at their table. Later, guests danced the night away on the sparkly LED dancefloor.
The event ticked all of the client’s boxes and more and the guests definitely went home with the excitement of Christmas building.
