Magical Unicorn Batmitzvah Party

The Brief
To transform the Crystal Room at the May Fair Hotel into a unicorn themed Batmitzvah party without it feeling too childish.
The Party
As guests made their way upstairs to the Atrium for the drinks reception, they were greeted by two stilt walkers dressed as glamorous bejewelled unicorns. While the adults enjoyed their drinks and canapes, the kids had a magician and two virtual reality pods (complete with a rainbow rollercoaster game) to keep them busy!
Everyone was then called downstairs for the main party. The room downstairs had been transformed into a 12-year-old girl’s paradise! The tables were laid with a soft pink organza cloth, topped with large crystal trees adorned with rainbow roses twisting from branches. The Batmitzvah girl had her name in rainbow glitter running down the middle of her table and all of her friends had a unicorn cake pop with their names attached to them. Once everyone had made their way downstairs, the Batmitzvah girl made her grand entrance with the unicorn stilt walkers.
After the welcome speech, the kids were treated to entertainment in the form of Bubbleology, hair braiding, glitter tattoos, a selfie mirror photo booth and the magician. After dinner and dancing, and once dessert had been served, we then opened up the bespoke sweet table which has been themed with all things unicorn to include rainbow sprinkled donuts, unicorn biscuits and even rainbow meringues labelled as ‘unicorn poo’!
The stage set was a gorgeous white backdrop with twinkly lights with a rainbow balloon arch going over the top. We then got a giant version of the Batmitzvah girl’s name done in the same font as the invitation made, which we hung over the top of the backdrop. The stage was done in various pastel coloured carpets and finished with silver glitter stage boards and a silver glitter DJ booth.
Novelties later in the night included personalised yellow and pink sunglasses with the Batmitzvah girl’s name on them and unicorn hairbands, which went down extremely well! Guests danced away the rest of the night to the band along with Uptown’s dancers – a fantastic night all round!
