Uptown Events are an approved and recommended supplier at The Gherkin and were given a brief for the UK Launch of a new e-cigarette. The event needed to include some technology as well as a variety of entertainment.
On entering The Gherkin, guests need to take a lift up to Level 39. In the lifts we had our acoustic singer and guitarist playing ‘live lift music’ to the guests.
Once the guests had reached Level 39, on leaving the lift they were met by our robots who offered them a drink. In addition to the two robots, Uptown Events had installed a mirror branded circular bar on Level 39.
Guests were invited up to Level 40 for the product launch and after the welcome speech the product video was shown on a large 5m x 3m video wall.
Once the product had been revealed the DJ, sax player and electric guitarist ensured the guests were entertained until late in the evening.
In addition to the bar staff at The Gherkin, there were two flaring cocktail barmen on a bespoke cocktail bar on Level 40. These guys were able to entertain the guests with their tricks and skills.
Ice sculptures with the new product were displayed around the venue.
Vinyl’s were used to brand the mirrors in the bathrooms as well as the poseur tables.
It was an extremely successful event which was the start of the launch of the product throughout France. Uptown Events were involved in producing the event throughout cities in France including, Paris, Lyon, Cannes, Deauville and Montpellier.
