To create a colourful and unforgettable, once in a lifetime Batmitzvah party
. With the unpredictable weather of the United Kingdom, the event took place in a stunning Marquee
which created an atmosphere that cannot be achieved at any hotel venue.
About 30 miles North of London, located in the beautiful rural setting of Bedfordshire, there is the luxurious five star Luton Hoo Hotel. Within over 1,000 acres of parkland and gardens lies the lavish marquee. With inventive design and full production, an irresistible veranda and spacious main room, it makes the venue perfect for an intimate event.
Uptown Events organised and planned a whole weekend of activities and “Simhas”. Starting at the family home, a beautiful and spiritual Friday night dinner, followed by a traditional family lunch on the Saturday at the Marriott Regents Park Hotel, and finally on the Sunday a fun and unforgettable dinner and disco party at The Conservatory in the Luton Hoo Estate.
Upon arrival of the guests to the marquee, a five piece steel band played on the patio, entertaining every guest with magical sounds. By the entrance doors two human trees waited patiently to surprise the guests with noises and movements. The main room was divided partially with white drape to form a reception area. The reception had a full bar, a beautifully arrayed sushi station, fast food station and non-stop canapés.
Entertainment for the children was both inside and out, on the grass a giant surf board simulator, inside a funky photo booth and a professional Henna tattoo artist.
Following the reception all the guests commenced into the main room and waited for the grand entrance of the Bat Mitzvah girl. Accompanied by a key board player, a percussionist and her brother on an electric guitar the Bat mitzvah girl made her entrance into the room singing a chart song, getting everyone on their feet. An amazing way to start the party! At the end of the song, the key board player, together with the percussionist got all the guests on the dance floor for Israeli dancing.
After the dancing the food was served, after the main course guests were invited back on to the dance floor for the second set of Israeli dancing by the key board player and percussionist. After ‘Hora’ and ‘Yesh’ the crowd were ready for their desserts. After the emotional toasts and speeches to the Batmitzvah girl the guests couldn’t wait to get back on the dance floor. The music started to rock with Uptown Events top DJ playing chart songs and got the rhythm going. The keyboard player, saxophonist and our amazing percussionist played along with the disco to incorporate a live music element to the party. Two Street Dancers got the party shaking with some cool moves and a variety of novelties were given to all. The dance floor was full all night and the guests only went home after the last song was played. It was a magnificent and enjoyable party to remember!
