The Brief

The client, being a director of an architectural firm, wanted a stylish venue that was exquisite and lavish, yet welcoming, providing a party for a maximum of 80 guests which that was both intimate and fun. Their party had to suit all ages and the package had to contain delicious food and tasty wine.

The Venue

The luxury four star deluxe Chesterfield Mayfair Hotel in London, where the traditional virtues for which Mayfair is a byword meet the ultimate in contemporary convenience, was the perfect choice! It's friendly, Christmas atmosphere along with its excellent service suited the client's expectations perfectly! Once inside, the atmosphere of quiet, calm, and efficient service is more reminiscent of a private club than an international 4 star luxury hotel in Central London. The client loved it!

The Event

Guests arrived at The Chesterfield Mayfair and the doormen welcomed them in with a smile. They passed through the foyer, greeted by both staff from the hotel and an Uptown Events' photographer and quickly stopped to pose for a photograph next to the magnificent Christmas tree before being shown to the room where their party was being held. Guests entered the Royal Suite, via the grand staircase and were greeted by a deluxe champagne reception.

The room was lit by sparkling chandeliers from the ceiling and candles lighting up each individual table creating a welcoming yet glamorous atmosphere. After guests had enjoyed their unlimited champagne reception they were called to sit down for dinner. Once sat and the guests had enjoyed the festive novelties, the room was suddenly filled with efficient waiters delivering the delicious starter.

After a fantastic 3-Course meal the party was ready to really begin. The room quickly changed around, it went from a formal, stylish meal into the perfect party place with colored up-lights and our state of the art disco. Uptown's very own DJ played some of the best tracks and after the first two people hit the dance floor they were quickly followed by the rest!

Those that weren't doing their stuff on the dance floor enjoyed taking advantage of the free bar and watching their fellow colleagues letting loose on the dance floor while others grouped around the bar chatting the night away, happy to discuss anything but work!

Everybody had such a good time that by the time it came to the end of the night there was a cry for ‘one more'! It just goes to show – parties with Uptown Events always leaving you wanting more!
