The Brief
One of London’s top accountancy firms came to us at the end of November
with a simple, but last minute brief; to create a fabulous unforgettable
dinner dance for their Christmas party in the heart of London. Always
ready for a challenge we stepped up to the mark and found them the perfect
venue in record time and the contract was signed and sealed in seven days
as we had only three weeks to get the party planed and underway. Excellent
food was required from the outset and a need for a drinks package was
also highlighted. As the party was beginning to take shape the client
threw in a couple of extra requests which we took on board and incorporated
into the theme to coincide with the launch of the new James Bond Theme.
The end result; Casino Royal hit the Café Royal!
The Venue
Given the number of people attending the party; 300 +, and the location
desired; the West End, we knew there would only be a few suitable venues
to cater for the party. This being our speciality we selected our top
venues and the client chose Café Royal as the destination for their
festivities. Based in the heart of the West End and now fully restored
to its Victorian grandeur, Café Royal certainly lends the wow factor
to any event and this was no exception. The Empire Napoleon Suit was dressed
to impress Bond style with the red carpet laid out and sensual Bond girls
James himself would have been proud of!
The Party
From London to Montenegro our guests were instantly transported as soon
as they hit the red carpet. Specially designed backdrops and spectacular
lighting effects combined together to create the ultimate Casino Royal.
Being famous for its gastronomic delights and having negotiated a very
healthy drinks package for our client the party was guaranteed to see
in Christmas in a spectacular manner. The superb three course meal was
decided upon by the client in advance, and having already set up an unlimited
beer wine and soft drink package for the client the addition of a champagne
reception meant that the festive spirit flowed in more ways than one!
In keeping with the overall theme we arranged for black jack and roulette
tables to be set up adjacent to the bar for all the Bond wannabes as well
as the less serious gamblers – no fortunes were made or lost here
as only the company themed fun money passed hands. The unsurpassed Uptown
disco kept the party going through until the early hours with an energetic
dance floor full of revellers dancing up a storm.
